What do we do?
The PGE PAC organizes fundraisers and various projects/funding for events throughout the school year. Below is just a handful of projects initiated and/or executed by PAC.
School Trips: Every class receives $20 per child per school year to be used for school trips. The PAC applies for BC Gaming Funds!
Harvest Social: the annual Harvest Social kicks off the school year to give all parents and kids a chance to get to know each other. Just bring a pot of chilli or a pie and PAC will provide the rest: buns, hot chocolate, and an evening full of music, donut bobbing, and fun. The theme of this year is "Building Caring Communities."
Fun Lunch: PAC organizes hot lunch for those interested and donates lunches to those in need.
School Yearbook: At the end of the school year PAC offers at a small fee, the School Yearbook with pictures of all classes, class activities and school events throughout the year.
Aquarium: The aquarium and fish in the hallway have been bought and are maintained by the PGE PAC.
Family Fun Day: At the end of every school year PAC organizes an evening filled with fun activities for kids. Anybody in the community is invited to come. The admittance fee is to cover the cost of the event. There are various bouncy castles, cupcake walk, face painting, lolly tree, hockey shoot, angry birds game, stuffy throw and many more games with tons of prizes. A concession stand is onsite as well.
Teacher Appreciation Week: PAC spearheads Teacher Appreciation Week (February) by organizing gifts and fun stuff for teachers during that week.
Art Cards: For the winter holidays, PAC organizes the Art Cards, where every child in every class designs their own holiday card, which is then professionally printed and can be bought by family and friends.
